Audition and compare

Every speaker has a story, and you deserve to hear ours prior to purchase. This space is a great opportunity to provide you with our signature sound: accuracy to the original recording. Click on the each audio file to start listening to our high resolution audio files.

The first selection is direct from the audio source files.

The other selections are from the speaker (s) you have selected to audition. Compare the two against the original and the different models. Below are also several types of amplifiers for you to compare. The goal is for the speaker to sound as close as possible to the original source file. There can be no other way to ascertain accuracy other than your own ears.  We have provided content from our copyright free sources of high resolution audio files. There is a varied selection for you to chose from.

Recording conditions

Audio is 44.1 KHz/32 bit sampling frequency (CD quality) downloaded from Envato.com and is royalty free. Recorded with Dayton EMM6 calibration microphones in stereo to a Tascam UH7000 ADC at 1 meter distance from the individual speakers to reduce room interactions. Playback is via a Sabaj D5 Hi-Res Audio Digital to Analog Converter through selected amplifiers, both tubed and solid state, as seen below.

Amplifiers are: pair of Yaqin MC13S 30 watt tube amplifiers / Nobsound tube 8 watt KT88 SE amplifier / pair of Adcom 545-II 200 watt

The test room is carpeted and is 12 X 20 ( 240 sf). No manipulation of the sound files are done other than level matching.

Quality

Playback quality will depend on your sources, headphones or speakers. Please keep in mind that this will influence your perceptions of our speakers sound quality. The intent of this audition is for you to compare the original source with the recorded files from the speakers.

They should sound nearly identical to the original source files.
