The Foundation 6 speaker system is a complete, factory-tuned loudspeaker system that proves you don’t need a refrigerator-sized cabinet to achieve massive, lifelike dynamics. This system pairs our flagship Horn X2 PRO engine with the Foundation 6 Bass Module System, utilizing Mark Audio’s legendary lightweight cone technology to create a system that starts and stops on a dime.

Factory Tuned for Perfection with removable HORN X PRO Module 

Stop thinking and start listening. The HORNX2PRO Foundation 6 inch woofer pair arrives with its crossover factory-set for a perfect blend. We have already done the math and the listening tests. The pre-installed audiophile capacitor and resistor network are optimized to ensure a seamless "hand-off" between the horn and the woofer. You simply plug it in and get a perfectly balanced, coherent presentation immediately.

The Exposed Crossover Engine: Zero Soldering

We do not bury your signal path inside the box. The Horn X2PRO Foundation speaker system features a Top-Mounted Crossover HornX2PRO unit that puts the critical components on display and completely under your control.

Modular "Plug-and-Play" Architecture Both the Capacitor and the Resistors are mounted directly into high-quality banana plugs on top of the horn sled. Nothing is hardwired. To change the sound, you simply pull out the component and plug in a new one.

• The Capacitor (The Hand-Off): Sets the crossover frequency. You can swap this instantly to experiment with different values or capacitor brands.

• The Resistors (The Acoustic Throttle): Sets the output level of the horn.

  • Factory Default: Plugged in for a neutral, flat response.

  • Custom Tuning: Simply plug in the "Bold" or "Relaxed" resistor sets to instantly change the voicing.

The Engine: 12-Inch Cast Aluminum Horn & Beyma Polymer Tech

At the heart of this system is the Horn X2PRO, a massive 12-inch Constant Directivity Cast Aluminum Horn. This is not a plastic waveguide; it is a heavy, acoustically inert metal horn that controls sound directivity with absolute precision.

Driving this horn is the Beyma CD171 FE/PK.

• Why this driver? Unlike standard titanium drivers that can sound "shouty," the CD171 FE/PK utilizes a specialized Polymer Ketone (PM4) diaphragm.

• The Sonic Benefit: This high-tech polymer delivers the speed and detail of a compression driver but with the natural, organic smoothness of a soft dome.

The Foundation 6: High-Speed Woofer & Internal Physics

We utilize the Mark Audio CHR120 High-Speed Woofer because its ultralight aerospace-grade magnesium-aluminum cone is fast enough to keep up with the horn.

The Secret to Deep Bass: Internal Baffle Step Compensation Small cabinets usually sound thin due to Baffle Step Loss (bass wrapping around the cabinet).

• We Fixed It Internally: The Foundation 6 features a dedicated Baffle Step Compensation (BSC) Network built directly into the cabinet.

• The Result: This network selectively attenuates the midrange to perfectly match the bass, delivering the weight and authority of a large floorstander from an elegant, 28-liter footprint.
