Magnum Large Horn Engine With Continuum Crossover - pair
Yes — and in a very specific way.
Most speakers are limited by how they reproduce the upper midrange and treble. That’s where clarity, dynamics, and presence live — and where conventional designs often fall short.
The Horn X2 architecture addresses that directly — whether it’s added to your existing speakers or built into one of our complete systems. If you already have speakers you enjoy, the system can be integrated to elevate their performance without replacing them.
If you prefer a complete solution, our speakers are built around the same architecture — fully matched, measured, and optimized from the ground up.In both cases, the goal is the same:
1. correct integration,
2. controlled performance,
3. a clear improvement in how your system sounds.
Tuning is done using the supplied capacitor and resistor sets on the crossover. Capacitors adjust midrange balance, while resistors fine-tune the horn level. Each option is pre-engineered to maintain proper integration, so you can adjust the sound without risking performance.

No - and that’s intentional.
We do sell complete speakers, but they’re tunable systems designed to be dialed in to your room, your electronics, and your preferences - not ours.
A showroom demo happens in a different environment, with different gear, and at fixed settings. It doesn’t tell you how the system will perform where it actually lives.
Instead, we configure the system for your setup, you install it in your own space, and fine-tune it using the built-in controls. Combined with our generous return policy, you’re not guessing - you’re verifying in the only place that matters.
You don’t need to fly across the country to improve your system.
Because a horn doesn’t belong in a box.
You don’t put a trumpet in a cabinet and expect it to sound right. The same applies here. Put a horn inside a speaker and you introduce reflections, vibration, and tonal coloration.
We remove the enclosure entirely so the horn can operate freely. No reflections, no interference, no added character.
It just plays clean.
Because a woofer needs one.
A woofer produces energy from the front and the back. The cabinet uses that rear energy to extend bass and control the driver.
Without a cabinet, that energy cancels out, especially below about 100 Hz.
So the enclosure isn’t a compromise. It’s what allows the woofer to produce full, controlled bass.
Because it’s not necessary.
Modern woofers can comfortably reach the crossover point of a horn, and modern horns can play far lower than expected. In our designs that’s around 900 Hz for the Magnum, 1500 Hz for the Hiro, and 2500 Hz for the Atom.
That allows a clean, controlled handoff between two drivers.
Adding a third driver introduces more crossover parts, more phase interaction, and more opportunity for error. It complicates the system without improving the result.
Two drivers integrating properly will always be more coherent than three trying to share the same space.
Less complexity. Fewer handoffs. Cleaner sound.

Both paths lead to the same result — improved performance. If you already have speakers you like, the Horn X2 system can be added to elevate clarity, dynamics, and presence without replacing your entire setup.
If you prefer a complete, ready-to-go solution, our integrated systems are built around the same Horn X2 architecture — fully matched, measured, and optimized from the ground up.
The difference is simple:
Think of it like a great recipe.
If you have a really good cupcake recipe and scale it up into a full cake, it’s still the same recipe — same ingredients, same balance, same flavor. You’re not changing what it is, you’re just making more of it.
That’s how our speakers are designed.
They share the same core approach to the crossover and high-frequency system, so the character stays consistent. As you move up in size, you’re not getting a different “voicing” — you’re getting more output, more low-end extension, and more headroom.
So the sound stays consistent — the difference is how much of it you get, and how large a space it can handle.
Yes.
All images are real wood from actual customer builds, shown in real lighting. Because each speaker is built to order, we don’t produce every wood type in advance for photography.
We personally select your wood from Woodworkers Source in Tempe, Arizona, choosing the best representation of your chosen species. Each face is a solid 1/4-inch cut, inspected and applied by us.
There will be natural variation — every piece is unique — but it will always be beautiful.

Order & Return Policy
Each system is built to order using selected components and finishes. Because of this, orders are considered final once production begins.
We stand behind the performance of every system — what you receive is exactly what was designed and tested.
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
A 20% restocking fee applies. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer; we can provide a discounted return shipping label upon request.
All returned items must be in original condition. Any damage will be assessed and deducted from the refund accordingly.
Our systems are not assembled from random parts. Each design is engineered as a complete system — cabinet, driver, horn, and crossover working together as one.
At the center of that is the Horn X2 — the control structure that defines how everything behaves. You could say it’s the one component that rules them all… because it governs the relationship between the drivers.
The goal isn’t just good components… it’s controlled interaction.
Every unit is measured and verified before it leaves our shop, ensuring the system performs as intended — not just individually, but as a complete, coherent system.
Regarding the Crossover
The Continuum Crossover is not sold separately.
Its internal design and component values are not provided.
We do not support or advise on external implementations.
The performance of the system relies on the crossover, horn, and driver operating together as a complete structure.
The system is offered only as a fully integrated solution.
It depends on how the system is being used.
When the Horn X2, Atom, or Magnum platforms are added to an existing speaker, the signal is first divided by the external crossover. Everything above the selected point is handled by the horn, while the remaining signal is sent to the speaker.
At that point, the speaker’s internal crossover is only working within a reduced range — it’s no longer processing full-range audio or interacting with the tweeter at all. So this isn’t redundant filtering; the signal is divided first, then refined.
When used in complete Shinjitsu speaker systems, there is only a single integrated crossover handling the entire system, so the question of multiple stages doesn’t apply.
In both cases, the result is the same: each part of the system operates within its intended range, with greater control, efficiency, and clarity.
Final assembly and testing are completed in Arizona. Cabinets are CNC-machined locally in Tempe, while horn and crossover components are sourced from Europe based on performance — not convenience.
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
The Magnum system is delivered using a protected transport configuration designed specifically for large-format professional drivers and horn components.
To maximize shipping safety, the woofer, horn, and compression driver are packed separately in their original protective packaging rather than mounted during freight transit. This greatly reduces the risk of shipping stress or damage to delicate components such as the paper-cone woofer and horn assembly.
Final setup is straightforward and typically takes approximately 15–20 minutes per speaker using the included hardware and tools.
Setup consists of:
A complete visual setup guide and video walkthrough are included with every system.
This delivery method is intentional and designed to ensure the Magnum arrives as safely as possible.
