Horn X2 & Speaker Tuning Guide
Horn X2 & Speaker Tuning Guide
The system is designed to work right out of the box.
Tuning is there to refine it to your room, your speakers, and your preference.
What You’re Adjusting
The resistor controls horn level. The capacitor controls how the horn and speaker meet.
That’s it.
Horn Level (Resistor)
The resistor sets how loud the horn plays relative to the speaker.
Higher value makes the horn louder. Lower value makes it softer.
If the sound is too forward, lower the value. If it feels too relaxed, raise it.
Make small changes. Listen. Stop when it sounds right.
Crossover (Capacitor)
The capacitor controls how the horn and speaker meet.
Smaller value brings the horn in higher. Larger value brings it in lower.
If vocals and presence are lacking, increase the value. If that region feels too strong, decrease it.
You are adjusting the handoff between the horn and the speaker.
How to Tune
Start with the supplied parts.
Play familiar music.
Make one change at a time.
Listen for balance, clarity, and integration.
When it locks in, it becomes effortless.
Important
There is no “correct” setting.
There is only what sounds right in your system.
Final Note
Once set, you don’t need to keep adjusting.
Set it, enjoy it, and leave it alone.
Regarding the Crossover
The Continuum Crossover is not sold separately.
Its internal design and component values are not provided.
We do not support or advise on external implementations.
The performance of the system relies on the crossover, horn, and driver operating together as a complete structure.
The system is offered only as a fully integrated solution.
